My series of work titled “The States of Mine” – is about what it means to be a human in the context of the Universe. It is based on my personal experience: things and people I encounter, my thoughts and feelings.

I write short poems in the Notes app on my phone at any time throughout the day, a process that came out of a daily journal keeping practice. I then combine them with visual elements, working with white acrylic ink, black paper/paint, as well as photographic print-outs, glitter and other textures.

The themes are common to us all: need for faith, fear of death, desire to connect, attempts to understand ourselves and those around us.

P.S. By purchasing artwork directly from artists, you are supporting our hard work! (Galleries, even online galleries, customarily keep 50% of the sales price.) We create because we want to connect with the world through art, to share our experience and things that we discovered.

More about me.
